Happy Wednesday!
Our beachhouse has been a bit of a mess lately. We had a new door installed, old stuff to throw away, walls to fix, some painting to do… you name it. Definitely not the kind of things you want to deal with during summer, so my advice is: do these jobs before the season starts! Of course, sometimes life has other plans and there was no real choice. At least we’re getting there, slowly.
Business-wise, today was a very interesting day. I had three calls, and each one was completely different: one about a partnership, one about a sponsorship, and one about a potential joint venture. Lots is happening behind the scenes at Business Bloomer HQ, and I’m honestly happy I managed to dedicate a full day to this. Of course, nothing went exactly as planned—I forgot my office keys at home, my earbuds stopped working, I couldn’t find a decent coworking space, and eventually ended up working from a loud Italian café. You know, the usual. But somehow it all worked out. This is only the third day this summer where I actually worked away from the beach house… and something tells me that might be a sign!
AI Can Build WooCommerce Plugins, But Not a Business
After resisting AI for longer than most people, I finally gave in and used it to ship the latest release of one of my WooCommerce plugins.
I wasn’t trying to prove a point to myself… I simply wanted to find out whether AI could help me build new features, improve existing code, and get a release out faster without getting in the way.
But once the release was live, I was reminded of something that every plugin author eventually learns.

WooCommerce 11.0 Release Notes
WooCommerce 11.0 has been released. Over at the WooCommerce blog, Woo Artistic Director Beau Lebens wrote about our focus on cleaning up the GitHub backlog. With 551 PRs, this is one of the largest WooCommerce releases in recent history. I recommend reading that post. As an open source project, we’re grateful to everyone who contributes, from submitting pull requests to opening new issues.
What’s the value of DataViews and who is it for?
A few weeks ago we shared a proof of concept: WooCommerce’s All Products screen, rebuilt on DataViews and DataForms, the primitives that now ship in WordPress core. That post was about the what. Richer filtering, inline variations, better quick and bulk editing. This one is about the why: what these primitives are really for, who they help, and what it would take to build on them.

Introducing Reviewbird MCP: Work With Product Reviews From Your AI Client
Product reviews contain answers to some of the most important questions about your store. The problem is that finding those answers often means reading reviews one at a time, building a spreadsheet, or copying feedback into another tool.
Today we released a new feature to help with that. Reviewbird MCP closes the gap between the tools you’re already using and your product reviews. It gives your AI client controlled access to your Reviewbird data, so you can ask questions in plain language, compare review trends, find recurring product problems, and draft replies without exporting a CSV file.

You can now sign into the WooCommerce app with one scan
Logging into the WooCommerce app once meant typing your store URL on a phone keyboard and navigating a credential screen that split logins between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. We knew it could be frustrating — especially on mobile devices. That’s why we’ve modernized our login experience to make it faster and easier for merchants to get into their accounts.
