Happy Wednesday!
A little late this week, as my son is dealing with a post-vaccination fever. On top of that, we’re battling our first proper 38+°C days of the summer, with the hot wind from the desert making everything feel even warmer. Somehow I’m still playing tennis—don’t ask me how.
I’m not working as much as I’d like right now, but I’m actually okay with that. Family comes first, and we’re also hoping to sneak in a little holiday as soon as we can. Unfortunately, the car’s A/C decided to give up at exactly the wrong time, so that plan will have to wait a little longer. In the meantime, I’m happy to enjoy a slower rhythm and recharge a bit before another busy season.
Business-wise, I’m genuinely excited about next week. The Business Bloomer Club is about to take its first real step towards becoming something bigger—something that gains recognition and priority across the Woo ecosystem. I can’t say much yet, but while this summer break has given me time to think (and think… and think some more), it’s also helped me shape a handful of projects that I’m really looking forward to building. The first one is called “WooCommerce Days”.
“WooCommerce Days” Could Reignite Local Meetups
I owe a lot to WooCommerce Meetups. But I also know how hard it is to keep a local meetup alive… Every month, you need a venue, a speaker, people to promote it, people to show up, and enough motivation to do it all again a few weeks later.
I don’t think local meetup organizers need to work harder. I think they need a better format. This is why I’ve been thinking about a different approach. Something that keeps the spirit of local WooCommerce communities alive, but makes it easier for organizers, more valuable for attendees, and more impactful for WooCommerce. Maybe the future is something called “WooCommerce Days“.

Help Shape What We Build Next: The CommerceGurus Community Survey 2026
We’ve spent years building the tools that help keep those plates spinning. Shoptimizer and CommerceKit are now trusted by more than 60,000 stores, from solo side-projects to agencies running dozens of sites.
And a fair few of those tools started life as a conversation. The catch is, those chats only happen one at a time, and only with the people who get in touch. We wanted to hear from everyone, including the folks who’d never think to open a ticket. So we’ve built a way to do exactly that.
We’ve just launched our first CommerceGurus Community Survey, and we’d love you to take part.

Checkout Slots: Put order bumps, trust badges, and more where you want
Your WooCommerce checkout has always had a limited set of places to add things like trust badges, review badges, and order bumps. Moving them somewhere else usually meant custom hooks and snippets.
We wanted to open that up – to make putting your own spin on the checkout easier, without the code.
The latest CheckoutWC release introduces slots – named positions across your checkout where you can place order bumps, trust badges, customer reviews, headings, and custom HTML, then drag them into the exact order you want.
