WooWeekly #583: WooCommerce Admin | AI Ads | Restaurant Order Form

Hello there,

Welcome back to WooWeekly! Every week, I curate tips and tutorials for you (and the other 19,846 subscribers!) to help you sharpen your WooCommerce skills.

Not much to report on the personal side this week, and that’s probably a good sign. Playing sports, watching a few matches, doing the daily school runs, cooking, and pretending to relax on the weekend is what’s keeping me sane right now. I’m consciously trying to spend less time in front of the laptop and flip the usual logic around: do life first, then fit work into the time that’s left. It leads to slightly weird working hours—sometimes weekends, sometimes rainy evenings, sometimes odd gaps—but it helps me stay focused and, most importantly, not sacrifice sleep.

On the business side, this is full sprint mode. Checkout Summit is now just three months away—85 days, to be precise—and I’m deep into outreach, follow-ups, calls, and budget work. It’s intense, but I keep reminding myself that if there’s a year two, a lot of this groundwork won’t need to happen again. The good news is that a third sponsor just came on board, and it’s a big one.

Meanwhile, Business Bloomer is moving steadily: the online community is responding, and yesterday I ran the first session of my first-ever cohort. One full hour actually spent working on our businesses together—and it felt right. I’d love to do more of this, because my long-term goal is still the same: make the Business Bloomer Club feel like a Chamber of… Ecommerce—where builders can meet, share, and grow together.

Anyhow, here’s your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

WooCommerce Tips & Snippets

Here is a collection of posts to answer your biggest WooCommerce questions. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced store owner, these resources will help you optimize your WooCommerce store and grow your online business.

WooCommerce: Distraction-Free WP Admin for Store Management

A recent tweet by James Kemp reminded me of one of those small but surprisingly annoying problems with WooCommerce: the cluttered WordPress admin sidebar. With a handful of plugins, the menu quickly becomes a messy maze, and even WooCommerce’s own orders, products, and settings end up scattered all over the place.

This article walks through a simple way to “take over” the admin for store managers. There’s a handy code snippet that adds a toggle in the admin bar, letting you switch to a WooCommerce-only menu—and it sticks as you navigate. It’s a tiny change, but it makes managing a busy store feel way less chaotic.
