WooWeekly #582: FOMO | Elementor PDP | ChatGPT Instant Checkout

Hello there,

Welcome back to WooWeekly! Every week, I curate tips and tutorials for you (and the other 19,846 subscribers!) to help you sharpen your WooCommerce skills.

Lately I’ve been putting a lot of energy into staying sane while organizing Checkout Summit. I’m trying—really trying—to stick to my usual routine: some sport, no late nights, no weekend marathons, and not going to sleep with my head spinning about loose ends. There are “only” 92 days left now, and I’m working hard, but also paying attention to how I work. We’ll see how that balance holds up.

On the business side, these next four weeks are absolutely critical. I’m moving in all directions to make Checkout Summit happen—and happen properly. If you follow along on Twitter or LinkedIn you’ll see the day-to-day, but one thing I can already spoil is that WooCommerce is going to be on stage too!

And finally, this Thursday I’m running Finding Your Next 10 WooCommerce Clients. This live, free, class matters a lot to me—it’s a chance to pause, look at how the market has shifted, and make sure you’re adapting before it’s too late.

Anyhow, here’s your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

WooCommerce Tips & Snippets

Here is a collection of posts to answer your biggest WooCommerce questions. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced store owner, these resources will help you optimize your WooCommerce store and grow your online business.

Finding Your Next 10 WooCommerce Clients

I’ve noticed so many freelancers and agencies spinning their wheels, trying to figure out how to land new WooCommerce clients in today’s market. So I’ve created a free class so we can go beyond theory—it dives into what really works right now.

There are many examples, but this couple of fixes can’t be handed off to AI: building in public to show your expertise, and spending more time actively in the community to get noticed.

These simple shifts can make a huge difference, and the session walks through them alongside practical strategies for positioning yourself and winning real projects without guessing. If you’ve been feeling stuck, this is the kind of guidance that actually moves the needle.

How to Use FOMO Marketing in Your Ecommerce Store

I came across a guide recently that really made me rethink how urgency works in online shopping. You know that feeling when a product is almost sold out, or a deal is about to expire? That little nudge can actually make a big difference—and there’s a way to do it without feeling pushy.

This article walks you through FOMO marketing and, importantly, how to use it ethically in your store. It’s full of practical tips that can help you boost sales while keeping your customers’ trust intact. I found it useful because it’s one thing to create urgency, but it’s another to do it in a way that feels honest and genuine.

Can ChatGPT buy on my webshop and complete checkout by itself?

I saw a question pop up recently that made me stop for a second: can ChatGPT actually buy something from your store and go through checkout on its own?

At first, it sounded like science fiction—but the more I looked into it, the more I realized there’s a lot of nuance behind the headlines.

This article breaks down what “Instant Checkout in ChatGPT” really means, who it actually works for, and why a lot of people are misunderstanding it. There’s also a practical take on why AI agents don’t always follow the rules, and what that means for your store whether you’re on Shopify or not.

If you’ve been curious—or worried—about AI jumping into ecommerce, this post gives the clarity you need.
