Hello there,
Welcome back to WooWeekly! I’m glad you’re here for another round of WooCommerce insights. Every week, I curate tips and tutorials for you to help you sharpen your WooCommerce skills.
And, well, hello from the beach house! The weather is gorgeous, the sea looks like a swimming pool in the early morning, and — of course — I’m trying to work. The kid is thrilled school’s out and is already asking how long we’ll stay here… I’m curious what will happen when he grows up. Settling in here is always effortless, and if it weren’t for school, I’d stay all year round.
On the business side, there’s not much to report—these first few days have been all about moving in and doing very little. It’ll take another 2–3 days before I have my home beach office properly set up and can enjoy a productive workday. My voice is kind of back, so I’m getting ready to record more WooCommerce content soon.
In the meantime, I’ve got this newsletter to send, some ongoing client work (still my lifeline), and a bunch of mini plugins that are nearly ready to go. Plus, I’ve been doing a lot of offline thinking — the no-laptop, no-GPT kind — getting things down on paper. It’s a crucial time to prepare for the AI wave and ensure Business Bloomer’s long-term future.
Anyhow, here’s your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

WooCommerce: How to Configure Product and Order Sync
In this article, I’d like to talk about syncing products and orders between different standalone WooCommerce stores. More specifically, I am going to cover: What WordPress/WooCommerce hooks do we need to trigger the sync? How to create the WooCommerce REST API requests? How to do it without coding at all, just using a plugin? [Business Bloomer]
How to Edit WooCommerce Cart Page for Better Conversions
While the default WooCommerce cart page technically works, it’s decidedly basic – a generic template that doesn’t reflect your brand personality or optimize for conversions. Still, most businesses overlook this crucial page, missing opportunities to turn browsers into buyers with strategic customizations. [CheckoutWC]
Fast WooCommerce Guest Checkout Setup Guide
Picture this: A customer fills their cart, proceeds to checkout, then sees a lengthy registration form. They abandon their purchase. This scenario costs online stores billions in lost revenue each year. The solution? Guest checkout. [Studio Wombat]
How to Cross Sell in WooCommerce
Online giants such as Amazon widely use cross selling, and they report it accounts for 35% of their revenue. But what about creating a WooCommerce cross sell? What are the best ways to drive up conversions and revenue on this platform? [IconicWP]

I Tested WooCommerce 9.9 on a “Small” Store (40,000 Orders)
WooCommerce 9.9 promises a massive performance boost for stores with large datasets — “It’s fast, period”. In this video, I put that claim to the test on a WooCommerce store with 40,000 orders — not huge, but not small either. My goal? See whether admin performance actually improves in a real-world scenario. [YouTube/Business Bloomer]

WooCommerce: “Beautify” Item Meta in Order Emails
Since the latest WooCommerce releases, the transactional emails have received a fresh update. This new email layout offers a cleaner and more modern look, improving the overall customer experience. However, one side effect is that the order item meta information in emails can sometimes appear cluttered or less readable. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Per-Product Checkout Fees / Tariffs
If your WooCommerce store sells products that require extra charges — think tariffs, recycling fees, or packaging costs — you may want to apply those fees only to specific products or variations. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Auto-Cancel Orders After 3 Failed Payments
WooCommerce doesn’t limit how many times a customer (or bot) can attempt to pay for a failed order via the “Order Pay” page. This opens the door to abuse, unnecessary clutter in the order table, and frustration for both store owners and customers. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Bulk Delete Pending / Failed Scheduled Actions
In a recent project, I needed a quick way to bulk delete pending and failed Action Scheduler jobs directly from the WordPress dashboard—so I built a custom tool for it. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Redirect Empty Paginated Category Pages (404)
When managing a WooCommerce store, it’s common to rearrange products or remove them from certain categories. However, this can lead to an unexpected issue: paginated product category URLs (e.g. /product-category/shirts/page/3/) may still be accessible even when that specific page no longer contains any products. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Complete Button @ Order Admin
Typically, to mark an order as “Completed,” you’d have to open the order, change the status from the dropdown, and then click “Update”. That’s an extra step that can feel repetitive if you’re doing it often. In this quick developer tutorial, I’ll show you how to add a “Complete Order” button directly to the single order edit page in the WooCommerce admin. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Allow Guest Checkout For Existing Customers
If you disable Guest Checkout via the settings, all customers are required to either log into an existing account or register a new one during checkout. The problem? Returning customers who aren’t logged in will be forced to remember their credentials or manually reset their password, just to place another order. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Simplify Free Checkout
If your WooCommerce store occasionally offers free products—whether as part of a promotion, a free trial, or a lead magnet—you may have noticed that the default checkout still displays all billing (and shipping) fields. Thankfully, there’s a simple way to customize this behavior and show only the checkout fields you truly need. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Inject Ad After the nth Product @ Shop Page
Is it possible to insert a custom loop item, such as a promotional banner or a “fake” product, into the WooCommerce shop page after a specific number of real products – for example, after the third one? Spoiler alert: yes, it is! [Business Bloomer]

Advanced Product Fields for WooCommerce is the market’s fastest product options plugin. It allows you to easily add extra options to your products, such as text boxes, file uploads, swatches, date pickers, and more! Get an exclusive 20% discount with coupon code: BBLOOMER
