Hello there,
Welcome back to WooWeekly! I’m glad you’re here for another round of WooCommerce insights. Every week, I curate tips and tutorials for you to help you sharpen your WooCommerce skills.
Back from WCEU, but heading to Rome again tomorrow. It’s going to be a hectic month with birthdays, anniversaries, lots of travel, and the beach house move — it’ll be tough to get anything done work-wise!
On the business side, I’ve already started shifting my content strategy. With AI reshaping everything (and slowly killing Business Bloomer traffic), it’s time to diversify — so I’m giving YouTube a proper go. I’m already on my second video this week, and I’ll keep posting demos, walkthroughs, and tutorials. Feel free to subscribe or take a look here: https://www.youtube.com/@BusinessBloomer
Sales are down, mostly due to the drop in traffic, so I’m planning a new marketing strategy starting next week — assuming the beach lets me. I also shared my to-do list with a few business friends, and I’m hoping to check in next month to see what I’ve actually accomplished. There are two big business goals and two personal ones (because life’s not just about work!), so let’s see how far I get.
Anyhow, here’s your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

ICYMI: WooCommerce Snippets
WooCommerce: Per-Product Checkout Fees / Tariffs
If your WooCommerce store sells products that require extra charges — think tariffs, recycling fees, or packaging costs — you may want to apply those fees only to specific products or variations. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Auto-Cancel Orders After 3 Failed Payments
WooCommerce doesn’t limit how many times a customer (or bot) can attempt to pay for a failed order via the “Order Pay” page. This opens the door to abuse, unnecessary clutter in the order table, and frustration for both store owners and customers. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Bulk Delete Pending / Failed Scheduled Actions
In a recent project, I needed a quick way to bulk delete pending and failed Action Scheduler jobs directly from the WordPress dashboard—so I built a custom tool for it. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Redirect Empty Paginated Category Pages (404)
When managing a WooCommerce store, it’s common to rearrange products or remove them from certain categories. However, this can lead to an unexpected issue: paginated product category URLs (e.g. /product-category/shirts/page/3/) may still be accessible even when that specific page no longer contains any products. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Complete Button @ Order Admin
Typically, to mark an order as “Completed,” you’d have to open the order, change the status from the dropdown, and then click “Update”. That’s an extra step that can feel repetitive if you’re doing it often. In this quick developer tutorial, I’ll show you how to add a “Complete Order” button directly to the single order edit page in the WooCommerce admin. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Allow Guest Checkout For Existing Customers
If you disable Guest Checkout via the settings, all customers are required to either log into an existing account or register a new one during checkout. The problem? Returning customers who aren’t logged in will be forced to remember their credentials or manually reset their password, just to place another order. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Simplify Free Checkout
If your WooCommerce store occasionally offers free products—whether as part of a promotion, a free trial, or a lead magnet—you may have noticed that the default checkout still displays all billing (and shipping) fields. Thankfully, there’s a simple way to customize this behavior and show only the checkout fields you truly need. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Inject Ad After the nth Product @ Shop Page
Is it possible to insert a custom loop item, such as a promotional banner or a “fake” product, into the WooCommerce shop page after a specific number of real products – for example, after the third one? Spoiler alert: yes, it is! [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Prevent Duplicate Orders
Sometimes customers accidentally submit the same order twice, or there may be a temporary issue with a WooCommerce payment gateway or a plugin conflict—such as the Sucuri Firewall problem in March 2025. This can result in duplicate charges, refunds, chargebacks, admin costs and a poor user experience. [Business Bloomer]

Advanced Product Fields for WooCommerce is the market’s fastest product options plugin. It allows you to easily add extra options to your products, such as text boxes, file uploads, swatches, date pickers, and more! Get an exclusive 20% discount with coupon code: BBLOOMER
