Hello there,
Welcome back to WooWeekly! I’m glad you’re here for another round of WooCommerce insights. Every week, I curate tips and tutorials for you to help you sharpen your WooCommerce skills.
It’s been a rough few days—my kid caught a fever, and that meant little sleep and a lot of parenting. Between coughs and cuddles, I still managed to get some coding done (somehow).
I recently asked on Twitter what the biggest WooCommerce pain points were and promised to create free plugins to solve them. The response was incredible! So far, I’ve released two free plugins, and the third is almost ready. Even though they’re just single-feature plugins, they came with their fair share of challenges—especially thanks to HPOS, which made things interesting.
On another note, we’re back next week with our next live class: Preventing WooCommerce Checkout Carding Attacks (Tuesday, March 25). It should be a great session on security and anti-spam, and 22 people have already signed up. Join us for this important discussion!
Anyhow, here’s your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

WooCommerce Tips, Snippets & Tutorials
Here is a collection of posts to answer your biggest WooCommerce questions. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced store owner, these resources will help you optimize your WooCommerce store and grow your online business.
WooCommerce: Automatically Complete Processing Orders
If you wish to mark paid orders as “Completed” automatically (i.e. without having to manually login to the site and “check” processing orders one by one), you can use this code. Apparently, this won’t work with COD / BACS / Cheque orders when order total is > 0, so I also coded a free plugin to get this sorted. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Add Column to Orders Table @ WP Dashboard
So the question is: how can we display additional columns in the orders table, so that we can display an order custom field, a specific product contained in the order, or anything order-related that can be “calculated” once we have access to the $order variable? Note: this snippet is not compatible with HPOS, as it relies on legacy hooks. For an HPOS-compatible solution, please consider the suggested free plugin. [Business Bloomer]
How to Add Frequently Bought Together to Your Online Store
Adding a frequently bought together section to your WooCommerce store is a smart way to increase sales, improve the shopping experience, and boost customer satisfaction. Here’s why it’s worth adding. [Iconic]
Setting Up Express Checkout Buttons in WooCommerce
Whether it’s Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal Express, these payment options allow customers to complete purchases directly from product pages, carts, or checkout pages. No detours. No fuss. The magic of express checkout isn’t just about speed. It’s about creating an experience that feels effortless, especially for mobile users juggling coffee cups and commutes. [CheckoutWC]

ICYMI: WooCommerce Snippets
WooCommerce: Show/Hide Registration Form on Login Page
WooCommerce by default displays both login and registration forms on the same page when “Allow customers to create an account“ is enabled on the My Account page. However, for a cleaner and more user-friendly experience, you may want to hide the registration form initially. This method keeps the interface focused while still allowing easy access to the registration option. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Add “Leave a Review” Column to Downloads Table
This snippet modifies the WooCommerce My Account downloads section, ensuring customers can leave product reviews directly from their available downloads. The button appears only for products that haven’t been reviewed yet. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Search Orders By 2-Letter Country Code [HPOS]
WooCommerce’s order search function is essential for store admins, but with the introduction of High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS), searching by billing or shipping country code may no longer work as expected. If you’re used to quickly filtering orders by country, this limitation can be frustrating. Fortunately, there’s a simple way to bring back this functionality using a custom code snippet. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Programmatically Mark Products As Featured
For store owners managing hundreds of products, setting featured items manually is inefficient. A dynamic approach can save admin time by automatically marking products as featured based on specific conditions, such as category, price, or custom logic. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Sticky Product “Update” Button @ WP Admin
In the WooCommerce product edit / add new product screen, the “Publish” / “Update” button is crucial for saving changes. However, when editing long product descriptions, adding images, or configuring variations, the button can disappear as you scroll down. A simple solution is to make the button sticky, ensuring it remains visible no matter how far you scroll. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Filter Products By Sale Status @ WP Dashboard
Sorting through hundreds or even thousands of products to find those with active sale prices can be a tedious task using the default WordPress admin interface. In this post, I’ll show you how to enhance your WooCommerce admin panel with a simple PHP snippet that adds a custom filter for sale status. [Business Bloomer]
