Hello there,
Welcome back to WooWeekly, your weekly appointment with WooCommerce tutorials handpicked for you (and the other 19,431 subscribers!), so that you can learn something new.
I’m just back from Rome, my dad is in hospital again but this time it’s for a side-effect. The good news is that the 3 cancers are gone, but now the docs need to sort out the remaining things before letting him go. He spent most of his childhood in hospital due to some liver problems, and… he’s a doctor, so he’s used to that! Hope he gets out soon, and is healthy.
On the business side, tomorrow I’m hosting a free class: “1-Hour WooCommerce Challenge: Let’s Recreate the Nike Product Page” – we’ve already got 55 attendees signed up, so join us for a live coding session, where I’ll customize the WooCommerce Single Product page to resemble the Nike website as closely as possible.
Besides, Black Friday has just started at Business Bloomer, so if you’re looking for a Club membership deal, a discounted plugin, or a great sponsorship deal, I’ve got you covered! Check out the brand new Business Bloomer Current Deals, Coupons & Discounts page.
Anyhow… here’s your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

WooCommerce Tips, Snippets & Tutorials
Here is a collection of posts to answer your biggest WooCommerce questions. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced store owner, these resources will help you optimize your WooCommerce store and grow your online business.
WooCommerce: “Last Chance” Category with Expiring Sale Products
When managing a WooCommerce store, your sales strategy can be a powerful way to engage customers and drive urgency. One cool trick is featuring products with sale prices about to expire (“sale price end date“) in a custom product category. We’ve already seen how to populate a “Sale” category, but this time I’d like to get only the sale products with a sale end date! [Business Bloomer]
How to Start an Online eCommerce Business
Starting an e-commerce business can be both exciting and challenging. However, it’s not as simple as it seems – running a successful store requires careful planning, the right tools, and scalable infrastructure that can grow with you. But you don’t need to worry, as we’ll cover the essential items you’ll need in order to get your eCommerce business up and running. [Convesio]
How to Add Swatches to a WooCommerce Product
WooCommerce swatches are a feature that allows you to visually present product attributes, typically on the product page. Suppose you have a v-neck t-shirt in different colors and with different patterns printed on it. In the default WooCommerce setup, this variable product’s color and pattern options would be presented in a dropdown menu. Customers would have to click the menu to expand it, see the options available to them and then click on the options to see what they look like. [Iconic]
The Club Corner
Every week I share some highlights from our private community of Woo professionals – the Business Bloomer Club – which gives its members lifetime access to (1) WooCommerce support, (2) WooCommerce courses, (3) WooCommerce webinars, and (4) member-only resources.

ICYMI: WooCommerce Snippets
WooCommerce: View Customer Order History on Single Order Admin Page
Viewing the WooCommerce customer’s order history directly on the single order admin page can be incredibly useful when you need quick access to a customer’s past purchases without navigating away from the current order screen. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Display Featured Products First @ Shop, Cat, Tag, Search Pages
What’s the point of having the chance to “star” some products in your WooCommerce backend, if you can’t really use these featured products properly on the frontend? Yes, you can use a shortcode or a block to return the featured products only… or maybe you want to keep reading for a better (imho) solution! [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Apply Coupon @ Single Product Page
In WooCommerce, applying a coupon code is often part of the checkout flow, but wouldn’t it be convenient for customers to select a coupon directly on the product page before adding items to their cart? [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Enable Product Reviews for Logged Out Verified Customers
If you want to allow verified buyers who are not logged in to share their feedback, without forcing them to log in first, the settings alone are not enough. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to customize WooCommerce to allow logged-out verified customers to leave product reviews. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Automatically Apply Coupon Via URL
Recently, I decided to hide the “Apply coupon” form on the cart and checkout page. However, offering discounts is still a crucial strategy to encourage purchases and reward loyal customers. For example, the Business Bloomer Club lifetime membership is subject to Purchasing Power Parity discounts, and customers can get from 5% to 75% off based on their billing country – via a coupon. The best compromise here is to apply coupons when customers visit specific URLs. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Rename My Account Endpoint Page Title
But first… what’s a WooCommerce My Account endpoint page title? An endpoint refers to a specific tab of the “My Account” page. Each endpoint is associated with a H1 page title. Pay attention – this is not about the tab label, but it’s the page title when a tab is clicked. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Hide My Account “Downloads” Tab If User Has No Downloads
In WooCommerce, the “Downloads” tab of the My Account page is automatically visible to all users, even if they haven’t purchased any downloadable products. This can lead to a less-than-optimal user experience, as the tab might seem irrelevant or confusing to customers who don’t have any available downloads. [Business Bloomer]
