Hello there,
Welcome back to WooWeekly, your weekly appointment with WooCommerce tutorials handpicked for you (and the other 19,333 subscribers!), so that you can learn something new.
And… hello from Palermo! We completed our move back to the city, and that slow, silent, peaceful, earthy feeling has now turned to noise and concrete – I guess I can’t help with that 🙂
The little kid is starting the new school tomorrow, has moved to his own bedroom yesterday, and we’re also trying to get rid of his portable bathtub and his potty… you know, that’s a busy period for the two of us! No sleep, and lots of energy required to move to the next stage. Fingers crossed!
Business wise, I’m excited as I’m going to be closely working with a friend to let the world know about the new Business Bloomer Club offer (I will send you a specific email in the next few days). Also, clients require my full attention, as well as my plugins (thank you WooCommerce for changing the settings tabs code and breaking 50 plugins…). Which means, I need to “create” some time to get everything sorted (oh, my dad is also getting surgery tomorrow, just because it’s either nothing or all at once).
I will be lucky if I get to the end of next week alive, honestly.
Anyhow… here’s your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

Why & How to Display a “Price per day” on WooCommerce Product Pages
The price of a product may seem like too much for a customer, but when you calculate and display the cost of using it per day (or per night), it can suddenly seem a lot more affordable. [Commercegurus]
How to Speed Up WooCommerce Backend
A large part of running an online store requires managing the backend operations including product updates, order management, and shipment management. These tasks can easily overwhelm your staff and potentially disrupt business operations if the backend of your store becomes slow. [Convesio]
How to Create Conditional Discounts in WooCommerce (Step by Step)
Conditional discounts in WooCommerce are targeted promotions that apply only when specific criteria are met. They are often used by businesses to improve sales, foster customer loyalty, and help manage inventory effectively. [Studio Wombat]

WooCommerce: Sale End Date Countdown Timer
In this blog post, we’ll guide you through a simple PHP/JS customization that replaces the static “Sale!” badge on the WooCommerce Single Product page with a captivating countdown timer. This will not only add excitement to your product page but also encourage customers to make a purchase before the sale ends. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Fit All Settings In One Page
In the world of WooCommerce, customization is crucial for creating a unique online store. However, juggling numerous WooCommerce settings across multiple pages can be tedious. Imagine a solution that simplifies this process by consolidating all your WooCommerce options into a single, easy-to-use interface. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Custom “Empty Cart” Button
Yes, you can manually change the product quantities to 0 on the cart page, or click on the “remove item” icon for each product… but having a button that can do all that could be a time saver, especially for B2B WooCommerce customers. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Add Checkout Fee Based On Shipping Class
Whether you’re dealing with bulky items, fragile goods, or specific shipping items, you can leverage WooCommerce flexibility and dynamically add checkout fees based on whether a given shipping class is in the cart. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Hide Free Products [Code Snippet]
Are free products cluttering your WooCommerce store? Or are they so many, that you have no intention of manually setting them to “catalog visibility: hidden” one by one and need a proper shortcut? Discover how to strategically hide $0 products from the shop / category / archive pages using WooCommerce custom code – enjoy! [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Edit Custom Field @ Order Admin
Adding a custom field to your WooCommerce checkout is a breeze. But while you can easily view the custom field data in the backend, editing it directly from the order admin is a frustratingly locked feature. Luckily, a bit of custom code can fix this, giving you the flexibility and control you need to manage your orders effectively. [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Get Customer ID From An Email Address
Often, you might need to find a specific customer’s information, but all you have is their email address. For example, on Business Bloomer, I have custom contact forms that give me a name and an email address upon submit. What if I need to check if the email address is an existing WooCommerce customer who has placed some orders? [Business Bloomer]
WooCommerce: Notify Admin For Product Reviews But Not For WordPress Comments
The problem is that if your site gets a lot of spam comments, you might be bombarded with emails. Even with legitimate comments, constant notifications can be overwhelming. So what if we disable WordPress comment notifications all together, while we keep them enabled for WooCommerce product reviews only? [Business Bloomer]
