WooWeekly #496: Add to Cart Click Counter | Chatbots | Social Proof

Hello there,

Welcome back to WooWeekly, your weekly appointment with WooCommerce tutorials handpicked for you (and the other 19,023 subscribers!), so that you can learn something new.

I still have a strong cough, my kid has been acting weirdly for the last few days (maybe he’s on a growth spike) and my wife has just recovered from a 3-week flu. Very little time to relax these days, but thankfully it can only get better!

Speaking of when you don’t even have the time to breathe, I still enjoy cooking. Fastest recipe? 250g/9oz of lean mince meat, half a glass of parmigiano, half a glass of dried breadcrumbs, 2 eggs; hand mix all together, give it the shapes you like (meatballs, or burgers, or have fun with it), heat in a pan on medium heat, and in 15 mins your hungry kid is served! Bonus: cook in a pot with tomato sauce instead. You’re welcome. Send me pics.

Anyhow…here’s your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

WooCommerce Tips

WooCommerce: Simple Add To Cart Click Counter

By implementing an Add to Cart click counter, you gain a crucial piece of the puzzle, allowing you to calculate your conversion rate more accurately. You already have the number of product sales available, so with this additional piece of data you can assess how effective your product pages are. [Business Bloomer]

Utilizing Automated Chatbots for Personalized Shopping Experiences Online

As about 70% of chatbots are retail-based, how can you, the owner of an eCommerce store, make the most of them? This article explores ways to use chatbots for eCommerce shopping. Wishlist in WooCommerce: Best Practices and Examples

Some people don’t make a buying decision right away. They research different options and compare and save the products they like. If the site has a wishlist, and the site owner sends favorable offers to those who have saved items, it increases sales. In this article, you will see some interesting examples of such wishlists and the main functional elements worth adding to create a well-performing wishlist. [Crocoblock]

How to Add Social Proof to Ecommerce

Social proof is a key factor in the world of online shopping. It influences customers by showing them what others think about a product or service. When people shop online, they can’t touch or try products before buying. So, they rely heavily on the experiences and opinions of others to help make their decisions. This is where social proof comes in, offering potential buyers the reassurance they need. [Iconic]

WooCommerce: Add Content To The “Order Pay” Page

The “Order Pay” page serves a specific purpose – allowing customers to complete payment for manually created orders. Let’s add some HTML content above the table, like a heading, some text, a banner, or whatever you may need to help the customer submit their payment asap! by Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: Get Products On Sale Via PHP

The function we’re talking about today is wc_get_product_ids_on_sale(). This is a super helpful way to get something without complex queries or foreach loops.
