WooWeekly #495: Email Triggers | Order Pay | Product Photography

Hello there,

Welcome back to WooWeekly, your weekly appointment with WooCommerce tutorials handpicked for you (and the other 19,014 subscribers!), so that you can learn something new.

We’re doing slightly better here, we’ve been sick for at least 3 weeks but hopefully the summer is now going to help with killing the virus! It’s been hard to get work done, even sleep and rest properly, but it can only get better – in a few days we’re going to move to the beach house, hoping for 2 months of good weather and lots of fun / rest.

I’m slowly getting back into work mode and getting my voice back as well, so more Masterclasses will be announced in the next few days. I’m definitely going to cover some “WooCommerce Thank You Page Customization“, talk about the “State of the Woo Blocks” in regard to what’s possible from a customization point of view, possibly present a “Stock Reduction Multiplier” case study, live code a way to read/write a CSV file linked to your Woo store, and so on. Got more Woo topic ideas? Let me know!

Anyhow, here’s your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

WooCommerce: Get Products On Sale Via PHP

The function we’re talking about today is wc_get_product_ids_on_sale(). This is a super helpful way to get something without complex queries or foreach loops. So I’d like to study its codebase, see what it returns, and finally test it and print something via a shortcode. by Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: Add Checkout Payment Section Heading

WooCommerce: Remove “add-to-cart=123” URL Parameter After Add to Cart

The problem is that WooCommerce itself doesn’t automatically remove the “add-to-cart” parameter after a successful add to cart, and if you reload the page you will add to cart again! So, let’s see how we can remove this parameter in case you disabled the “redirect to cart” option. by Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
