1. Brand New WooCommerce Tips
WooCommerce: Resend Any Order Email
Well, today we will see how to add a “Resend whatever email” function under the “order actions” on the single order edit page. Of course, make sure you switch the billing email to yours, otherwise the customer will get these emails and not you. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
WooCommerce: Automatically Cancel Orders
The problem is – what if you don’t want to use the “Hold Stock Minutes” thing, and even better, what if you don’t use stock management at all? In that case, orders won’t be marked as cancelled automatically. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
WooCommerce: How to Automate Upsells and Discounts?
This post covers how you can set up automated WooCommerce upsells, discounts, order bumps and other offers – so that you can focus on other aspects of your business while your website does its magic. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
2. David’s WooCommerce Highlights
Here are a few notes written by David of PeachPay, WooWeekly co-author.
Using Elementor to create a WooCommerce store?
The majority of us use a number of tools when developing a store with Elementor. Consortia Addons is a brand-new plugin for WooCommerce and Elementor that comes with a number of useful widgets. When listing products or categories, you should use widgets like the product table, product grid, and category grid. When a product is on sale, you undoubtedly would love to add a countdown to the product page and possibly even show “hidden” or custom product fields. The add-on includes several capabilities to let you customize your style and layouts, as well as an advanced product query engine. The creator of this add-on is an official WooCommerce partner and has other plugins listed there.
Vulnerabilities Discovered in Five WooCommerce WordPress Plugins
The U.S. government National Vulnerability Database (NVD) warns that five WooCommerce plugins affecting over 135,000 installations have vulnerabilities, some of which are rated as critical (9.8/10). These plugins include Advanced Order Export For WooCommerce, Advanced Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce, Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce Coupons plugin, Role Based Pricing for WooCommerce, and WooCommerce Dropshipping by OPMC (which is rated critical). Your best course of action is to keep a close eye on all vulnerable plugins, either updating or removing them as necessary, with a back-up site live before you take such action.
WooCommerce Goes Passwordless with OwnID Free Plugin
The recently unveiled OwnID plugin promises WooCommerce merchants the opportunity to streamline the purchase experience by setting up passwordless authentication and activating passkeys in minutes. On the free plan, OwnID users get 10k logins per month. OwnID promises a conversion rate increase of 20% and user drop-off reduction of 35%. Read more here.
Yoast SEO 19.10 Update
The free version of Yoast SEO updated to version 19.10 and the premium version to 19.5. Both the free and premium version releases will make users who run WooCommerce version 7.1 happy because both releases are compatible with it. In addition to fixing two Elementor-related bugs, both versions also “fix a bug where a fatal error would be thrown in the classic editor in combination with certain plugins that misuse metabox hooks.” If you have experienced these bugs, it’s probably a good idea to update with the proper precautions.

3. ICYMI: WooCommerce Articles
WooCommerce: Add to Cart Quantity Suffix
In certain cases, it’s nice to specify the unit beside the add to cart quantity, so that customers know how much and what they are buying. So, let’s see how to add an add to cart quantity suffix beside the quantity input field on the single product page. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
WooCommerce: Redirect Specific Product Search To Custom URL
Now, let’s imagine you have a custom landing page for “Tables”, and you want people searching for “tables” to go to that page instead of the default search result page. Quite easy as well – thanks to a neat PHP snippet we will feature today. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
WooCommerce: Disable Emails For a Single Order
As you know, each order status change triggers an order email (“processing”, “completed”, “on-hold”, etc.), and sometimes the store manager doesn’t want to resend them for a single order edit. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
WooCommerce: Ajax Add to Cart Quantity @ Shop
The bad news is that the Ajax Add to Cart button only allows you to add 1 item to the cart i.e. there is no quantity input field. In this tutorial, we will see how to turn the WooCommerce shop into an… Ajax cart with quantity inputs. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
