1. Brand New WooCommerce Tips

WooCommerce: Set Product Discount Percentage @ Product Admin

In today’s tutorial, we’ll see how we can display a dropdown in the Product Edit page, and at the same time how to edit the frontend price once a discount value is selected, so that you don’t need to worry about that manual sale price calculation. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: In Stock Products Shortcode

We’ve already coded a solution to display WooCommerce out of stock products only via a custom shortcode – today we’ll do the opposite: how can we display in stock products only via a handy shortcode? ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: The shopping shift to digital commerce

As a business owner, you can leverage digital sales channels to reach customers in a manner not possible with traditional retail. Below, we will look at some of the most impactful ways ecommerce benefits product-based businesses. ~ Bradley Taylor, GoDaddy

2. David’s WooCommerce Highlights

Here are a few notes written by David of PeachPay, WooWeekly co-author.

3D Visual Customizations & Performance

In case you’re interested in the topic of 3D visual customizations or performance, you should check out the Do the Woo episode featuring Chris Mospaw & Krissie VandeNoord, recorded during WooSesh. North UX Design’s VandeNoord talks 3D visual customizations & Pagely’s Mospaw talks performance.

Intrigued by the prospect of 3D visual customizations, I did a little bit of digging and found that North UX Design has a case study on one implementation they did, which you can find here. I really think this is a great addition to any WooCommerce store selling physical products, helping to replicate the touch-and-feel aspect of a brick-and-mortar store. I think furniture stores in particular, like Geovin — the subject of North UX Design’s case study — are particularly well-suited to 3D visual implementations.

Payoneer and WooCommerce Partner to Simplify Checkout for Today’s Global Seller

Given my role at PeachPay, I am always watching what’s going on in the checkout space. As such, Payoneer’s recently announced integration with WooCommerce caught my interest. The purpose of the integration is to better serve Asian-based merchants who want to simplify their store’s checkout experience. Those interested can simply download Payoneer off the WooCommerce marketplace now.

3. ICYMI: WooCommerce Articles

WooCommerce: View Stock History @ Product Admin

This neat customization saves the stock quantity of a simple product or a variable product variation before there is a stock change, due to a manual stock quantity edit or a customer order. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: Hide “View Cart” Button @ Mini-Cart

You may be interested in hiding the “View Cart” button from the cart widget dropdown, so that customers can go straight to the Checkout page and convert. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: Dynamically Update Variable Product Attributes @ Single Product

In today’s quick snippet, we’ll show just that: a combination of PHP and jQuery to make sure that “Additional Information” tab is always updated based on the selected variation. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: Display Product ACF Value @ Shop Page

We already talked about displaying an ACF field on the single product page. This time around, we’ll do the exact same but for the product loop pages (shop, category, tag, etc.). ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
