BUT FIRST… THANK YOU, STAGE SPONSOR!

GoDaddy PRO WordPress Ecommerce hosting with WooCommerce gives you the freedom to sell anything, anywhere online – from physical products to digital downloads, services and subscriptions. We’ve integrated WooCommerce into our Managed WordPress platform where you can choose from over 75 premium WooCommerce extensions included in your plan for as long as you host your ecommerce store with us. 1. Brand New WooCommerce Tips

WooCommerce: View Stock History @ Product Admin

This neat customization saves the stock quantity of a simple product or a variable product variation before there is a stock change, due to a manual stock quantity edit or a customer order. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: Hide “View Cart” Button @ Mini-Cart

You may be interested in hiding the “View Cart” button from the cart widget dropdown, so that customers can go straight to the Checkout page and convert. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: Strategies to boost sales through merchandising

In the offline world, physical stores intentionally layout their shops and products to engage customers from the moment they pass by the front window to when they leave having completed a purchase. ~ Bradley Taylor, GoDaddy

2. David’s WooCommerce Highlights

Here are a few notes written by David of PeachPay, WooWeekly co-author.

All You Should Know About the WooCommerce Agency Partner Program

Mary Voelker, Agency Program Manager at WooCommerce, joins Bob Dunn & Marcus Burnette to talk about the agency partner program. If you run a web development agency that focuses on Woo and have considered joining the program, then you should check it out. But to sum it up, the main benefit to any prospective partner is lead flow. I have heard from some agencies that the partner program, coupled with WPVIP, constitutes a majority of their leads. But be prepared to promote WooCommerce-owned apps (including WooCommerce Payments) — however you feel about that prospect, it’s part of the bargain. You basically have to bring in a certain amount of leads to WooCommerce Payments per year to stay in the program.

Nexcess to Provide Premium Caching to All Customers with New Object Cache Pro Partnership

Valued at $95/month, Object Cache Pro will be installed on all new Nexcess sites free of charge with a valid plan and available for existing customers to activate. Neat, right? We’ll have to see if this spurs other hosts to be similarly generous with other plugin partnerships.

WooCommerce 7.0

WooCommerce 7.0 has been released with updates to the filter block, cart page, and checkout page.

Hosted WooCommerce Solution Coming to WordPress.com in 2023

WooCommerce has announced that a WooCommerce-specific hosting package is coming to WordPress.com. This comes after Newfold & GoDaddy both rolled out their own WooCommerce-specific hosting plans.

3. ICYMI: WooCommerce Articles

WooCommerce: Dynamically Update Variable Product Attributes @ Single Product

In today’s quick snippet, we’ll show just that: a combination of PHP and jQuery to make sure that “Additional Information” tab is always updated based on the selected variation. ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: Display Product ACF Value @ Shop Page

We already talked about displaying an ACF field on the single product page. This time around, we’ll do the exact same but for the product loop pages (shop, category, tag, etc.). ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer

WooCommerce: Alter Product Search @ Manual Admin Orders

As soon as you click on “Add items” > “Add products“, a table displays with a product search and quantity input. That’s exactly where we’re working today: what if you have 10,000 products in your store, but only create manual invoices with the same 2-3 products? ~ Rodolfo Melogli, Business Bloomer
