1. Brand New WooCommerce Content

WooCommerce Snippet: Remove “Clear” Button @ Variable Product Page

As soon as you select a product attribute, a “Clear” button appears beside the dropdown/s in order to reset the selection/s and start anew. As usual, why “display:none” stuff with CSS when there is a PHP way?

WooCommerce Function of the Week: get_european_union_countries

You can use get_european_union_countries() for currency switching, to display conditional notices, content, or fields. Basically, whenever there is a country dropdown, get_european_union_countries() may be what you need.

5 Easy Ways to Speed up Your WooCommerce Store

There are several easy ways to speed up your slow WooCommerce store, which can be implemented very quickly with the right tools. Read on to find out how image optimization, caching and content delivery networks, and optimizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files can help.

WordPress: The Biggest Web Agency Summit

Atarim is set to launch its biggest annual event in the WordPress space for web agencies and freelancers. Its third annual Web Agency Summit kicks off from April 26th to April 29th, 2022, aimed at helping businesses grow substantially in 2022.

2. David’s WooCommerce Highlights

Here are a few notes written by David of PeachPay, WooWeekly co-author:

Returning to the Topic at Hand:

If you work with a retailer who has a brick-and-mortar presence or if you are such a retailer yourself, then you should keep apace with the most recent developments regarding PayPal. For context, last year, PayPal acquired Happy Returns for an undisclosed amount. Happy Returns focused on leveling the playing field for retailers competing with Amazon & Walmart on facilitating painless returns. As someone working on leveling the playing field for retailers in a different arena — checkout & payments — I loved the company’s mission. But given that most acquisitions end up going nowhere, I was skeptical about where the PayPal deal would lead.

Well, as it turns out, that skepticism may not have been warranted in this instance. PayPal recently announced that it is rolling out Happy Returns’ services for free with PayPal Checkout to over 5000 locations. That’s a lot. Apparently 78% of Americans already live within a 10-mile radius of at least one of these locations. So definitely look into this if you fit the bill.

Learn.WordPress So You Can Learn WooCommerce:

In case you’re rusty on your WordPress core, let this serve as a reminder that staying up to date on WordPress developments will help you become a better WooCommerce builder. Don’t take it from me, just listen to Courtney Robertson explain why on Do the Woo and check out learn.wordpress.org if you haven’t already.

3. ICYMI

WooCommerce Snippet: Disable Single Search Result Redirect

WooCommerce, by default, redirects you to the single product page when there is only 1 possible search result. With this snippet, even if there is an exact match in a search, you’ll be able to display the search page instead: https://www.businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-disable-single-search-result-redirect/

WooCommerce Fastest Themes in 2022

While the speed of your WooCommerce store depends on multiple facets – such as your web host, images and plugins, the theme you choose also plays a significant role. In this article, we share the top WooCommerce themes you can use: https://www.businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-fastest-themes/

WooCommerce Tutorial: How to Set Up Order Delivery Slots

Displaying delivery days and slots are essential features to ensure customer retention and sales – as they’re determining factors in customers’ purchasing decisions. One of the most seamless ways to add the date and time slots before the checkout is through WooCommerce order delivery date plugins: https://www.businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-order-delivery-slots/

WooCommerce Snippet: Display Prices Inc + Ex Tax

The WooCommerce settings allow you to show prices including OR excluding tax. But what if we want to show both at the same time e.g. “$100 inc. tax – $89 ex. tax”? In this tutorial, we’ll see how to add a suffix via PHP, and specifically at how to add the price including tax if your store displays prices excluding tax. Enjoy: https://www.businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-prices-inc-and-ex-tax/

WooCommerce Tutorial: Which PayPal Gateway Plugin is Better?

WordPress has discontinued the official WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway plugins since 1 March 2022. Here are the top six WooCommerce PayPal plugins you can now use on your store: https://www.businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-which-paypal-plugin/

WooCommerce Function of the Week: wc_get_customer_last_order

This function can be used in several scenarios. Think for example of an email campaign that triggers six months after the customer’s last order to entice them to reorder. But before looking at some case studies, let’s analyze the function syntax and source code: https://poststatus.com/woocommerce-function-of-the-week/
