New: WooCommerce Tips & Tutorials
WooCommerce: Single Product Page Redirect for Logged In Customers
If you sell one-off products like online courses, lifetime memberships or unique pieces that can only be purchased once by a given customer, maybe you’d better redirecting the logged in customer who has purchased that product to a custom URL, such as the shop page, the “my courses” page for online courses or another customer-specific section.
With this easy snippet you’ll learn how to see if a user is logged in and has purchased a given product ID and then how to do a safe PHP redirect. Enjoy:

Load Plugins Only When Necessary
The aim of this tip is to improve your website speed at page level. Page speed is a Google ranking factor – therefore it’s important to reduce the time customers wait for your WordPress pages to load.
WordPress infrastructure is such that all installed plugins are loaded every time a page is requested, even though they are not required for that page. For example Contact Form 7 plugin code will be loaded on every page of your website, even if there is only one contact page with one contact form.
I recommend filtering plugins like these and use them only on the pages where they’re necessary – same applies to WooCommerce! Here’s a link to a detailed guide to help you optimize this: http://link.l.convertkit.com/wf/click?upn=v9sbTEHrXTqRWRV1UmHqkytLm6CYC-2FcYChg10ETAgNegSnHGfCDk6t1zS21y-2B34iM9UH9L3pUEEZtFgj-2BdpOfHROqi-2FLEobfguQaGU784KvHfCz19KJciMBnESpEU8sZde7PUNAbRripQwzcSEE-2Fz1XRwofvdeSa-2BDItCETmSYhkHeE1ejN5QPDa9-2BOgYLMah5MYAkZNgk4FDNJkxM2-2FdA-3D-3D_xa8J-2BJ-2FxxlOj9X-2FO2ZtrnfP0o1ffSTyJeG-2B7AomMgFDWwxvze8LlQ-2FyfyiFffuZa72QE-2F1eogK-2FgbAPVBW4waEuyVkCo89ByQqK7M-2FEumICAk4l-2BjUkPmgtF-2BcnXgdqcJTlPsSD87BY871W2kgIiN9zGqchk3fkefq0GaqD2LEhOh9noiezcMJ9716o489oBN5BI7-2FANvWy8i677odhpeAmIJhwbtUAMNTMSQ13-2BSGAY2tBNRbwCGwIj-2BwXEbFo9TD5IkHGj2mbaUBqdsBQyoL1RU7OawdLfu-2BbP7F6irX-2FgN0B8HVYGwp9Wc8vaeYUaFgdeXCHJe0dqdMCuxamsnFUspAXKARFu1-2FPROXViJ4MqcRwldYO9kTmZBFgiLqqOGPUJjCUBfBGefvTxGvwAhQUV5VR2XPHmDxhXeNrmTS59Td7hkyzVDHopHjdzlMgCqCjBUz8Pi7ZcCS0AnJnZwXWRaWuPbCXchacmje5YeKl-2BVQ4wF0wh6QJjEFG6rt-2BoXgIYL3Cv1bdq6-2BdElGnam6-2BQkNhqlh73OWAkW6jE-2BhUry6SvxALPR9pDsJ5LMoqkyax0Sq4Vd71ZoMSZso5tWSUr8Q6vdekg3I9g79p9lmP-2Bo-2F4u0sEttYnwD4xVTa9Fy29X3T7yWIk-2Fm9wHnfvO4g-3D-3D

New: “What I’m Working on This Week”
- It was my birthday last Monday so I’ve been celebrating for about 6 days in a row… My mom came visit so I had a blast, and the weather has been very clement too (meanwhile, in the rest of Italy, we had rain and cold spells). Nice to spend time with people you love and forget about working for a while 🙂
- As part of my social media optimization plan, 2 weeks ago I deleted my Facebook account and last week I closed my business FB and TW accounts. Now it’s only me, on a single account: https://twitter.com/rmelogli
- Business Bloomer brand identity redevelopment is going well, the graphic designer I hired already sent me a draft for the first “angle” and I’m waiting on the second option so I can decide – I’m happy and finally should get more confident about my own website. 7 years ago, when I started, “Business Bloomer” was a way to brand myself as a web designer who wanted to help small businesses “bloom” (grow) with a smart website – I don’t do this any longer as I now specialize in WooCommerce customization…
- I haven’t got much work done lately due to celebrations, so it’s time to get back to business. Client work is top priority, as well as my online course re-launch deadline for mid June. Time is ticking and I want to get everything done before the summer!
