WooWeekly #253: Scroll to Tab, Remove Titles, SEO Tips

How’s things?

It’s yet another Wednesday, which means our WooCommerce Weekly newsletter is back; here comes a series of WooCommerce tutorials, tips, reviews and workarounds put together by yours truly so that you can learn something new. You’ll also find a “What I’m working on this week” update and a brand new “SEO Tip of the Week“.

Thank you in advance and enjoy!

WooCommerce: Scroll To Product Tab @ Single Product Page

Depending on your theme, just creating an href link anchor to a product tab might or might not work i.e. it might not scroll to it as it’s currently closed. Here comes a way to create href links that not only scroll to the tab, but also open it in case it’s closed. Also, a little jQuery “animate” will provide the smooth scroll and enhance UX. Hope you enjoy: https://businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-scroll-to-product-tab-single-product-page

WooCommerce: Remove “Shop” Title @ WooCommerce Shop Page

There are many snippets on the internet but many are out of date… so this is how to completely hide the Shop Page title in WooCommerce (plus: how to hide the title on WooCommerce Category pages). Enjoy: https://businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-remove-shop-title-woocommerce-shop-page/

Don’t Be Scared of Premium SEO Tools

To enhance organic traffic to your website it’s essential to analyze backlinks, competitors, your niche, on-site and off-site optimization. Premium tools provide you with detailed information, so that you can take informed decisions for your website improvement. My favourite ones are Ahrefs and SEMrush (I have no affiliation with either of them).

Can’t afford a paid tool? Try the 7 days Ahrefs trial, it costs $7 and you can get enough data for several months. For example, you can do “keyword research” for your WooCommerce site: https://businessbloomer.com/how-to-do-keyword-research-for-a-woocommerce-site/

Hope this helps 🙂

New: “What I’m Working on This Week”

  • Well, this week has been hectic for me so far. I had for once to fully look after my other half – when your partner needs to be 200miles away to take national teaching exams, then this becomes the priority. I’m happy I can prioritize life.
