Hello there,
Welcome back to WooWeekly—where ~20,000 WooCommerce builders come each week for actionable tips, sharp insights, and the occasional strong opinion.
I’m finally back to playing some tennis after a few weeks—between bad weather, travel, and too much work, it just didn’t happen. The weather is great now, but we’re entering that awkward season where midday tennis feels almost like a bad decision. I keep thinking I’d love to play only at night… which, realistically, doesn’t fit very well with life right now.
On the business side, it’s been surprisingly hard to switch off from Checkout Summit and get back into “normal” work mode—though I’m not even sure that mode exists anymore. At some point, though, I do need to get back to everything else and, you know, keep things running. Summer will likely be a bit different: full focus on the Business Bloomer Club, and a more sustainable rhythm overall.
Speaking of switching off from Checkout Summit, join me on May, Thu 28, where I’ll do a full recap of Checkout Summit 2026, packed with actionable takeaways for WooCommerce users, developers, and founders with things you should be looking at for 2026 and beyond. Registration is open now.
Anyhow, here comes your weekly round-up of WooCommerce tips and tricks. Enjoy!

Why Doesn’t WooCommerce Have a 1-Click Demo?
WooCommerce has a massive advantage over every ecommerce platform out there, and somehow we’re barely using it.
In the era of Playground, instant sandboxes, software onboarding, and interactive product tours, it feels almost unforgivable that WooCommerce still doesn’t offer a proper 1-click demo experience.

My Take: Why Liquid Web Made This Move
A lot of people in the WordPress space reacted strongly on May 12, 2026 when the StellarWP websites started redirecting to Liquid Web landing pages. Suddenly brands like Kadence, LearnDash, GiveWP, The Events Calendar, IconicWP and others looked like they had disappeared overnight.
I saw many tweets calling this “the end of an era”, and I understand the emotional reaction. These are products many of us have used for years. Some of these companies were founder-led businesses with strong identities, loyal communities, and recognizable brands at WordCamps and across the WooCommerce and WordPress ecosystem.

Seasonal Pricing Strategy That Maximizes Sales Without Sacrificing Trust
Most WooCommerce store owners handle seasonal sales the same way each year: pick a percentage, slap it on every product, and hope for the best. The result? Some customers learn to wait for the markdown, margins take a hit, and full-price revenue quietly erodes.
A seasonal pricing strategy replaces that guesswork with a repeatable system. It tells you when to adjust prices, by how much, and which discount mechanics protect your brand instead of cheapening it.
